There are new regulations from the United States Postal Service that may affect you if you are one of the many departments who utilize permit imprint indicias to pay for postage. You must mail at least 200 pieces of mail at the same time to use a permit imprint as a means of paying for postage. If mailing less than the required minimum, new rules require that all mail printed with a permit imprint indicia, must have that indicia completely covered before metering over the top of the indicia with metered postage.
